GIVING

Does money matter? Yes. As Spelman alumnae, giving back allows us to show appreciation for the education that Spelman has provided us; to give others a chance to have a similar experience; to stay connected to the Spelman community. We welcome the support of family, friends, and community (graduates and non-graduates) who want to give young women in the West Georgia community a chance to have the Spelman experience. Every dollar counts!

Donate

Any amount contributed over the fees for dues is considered a donation and can be deducted on your itemized tax forms. You may donate money and goods directly to The West Georgia Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College at any time. You may also deduct out-of-pocket expenses for charitable work. For example, if you make cupcakes for a charity fundraiser or student appreciation event (e.g. any event that supports our mission), you can deduct the cost of the ingredients you used to bake them. Save the receipts or itemize the costs in case of an audit. Thanks in advance for contributing to our work.

Donations to Spelman College should be made directly to the college.
